About Curtin

Curtin University is Western Australia’s largest and most culturally diverse university with Australia’s third largest international student population. The campuses are vibrant, welcoming spaces that value diversity and difference, emphasise industry connections and practical learning, have a strong commitment to social justice, and foster a forward-thinking culture for our students, staff and the wider community.

The university's global reputation has seen it rise up the international university rankings in recent years. It is now ranked in the top two per cent of universities worldwide in the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2016 and have risen to 262 in the world on the QS World University Ranking 2017-18.

When you join Curtin, you join an international family. Around a third of our 53,000 students come from a country outside Australia, which adds a valuable dimension to your university experience, both in and out of the classroom. This worldwide focus has resulted in Curtin being ranked one of the world’s most international universities, and the second-most international university in Australia, in 2016 by Times Higher Education.
